Know your surgeon – know your surgeon’s credentials
Plastic surgery is a delicate and exacting medical specialty which requires many years of training and experience to achieve high levels of skill.

check the credentials of your surgeon. Always ask: Did the surgeon complete a proper training – an accredited residency – in plastic surgery? Or was it in some other field? If the surgeon claims to be “Board-certified”, ask for the details. Get the name of the certifying board. Plastic surgeons in the US are certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery
