What is a HydraFacial?

HydraFacial is a breakthrough skin treatment that combines the 4 essential steps of traditional facial treatments: cleansing, exfoliation, acne extraction and infusion of active serums – into one convenient treatment.  The HydraFacial is suitable for all skin types and skin colors.  It works wonders on dry skin, and is excellent for acne-prone skin, as well.  The optional serum infusions that can be added to the treatment can give a light peel action, or can be used to treat hyperpigmentation and brown spots.  The treatment is non-irritating and has very little redness afterwards – unlike older technologies – even if your skin is usually very reactive.  Your skin will feel softer and better hydrated immediately after the treatment.

How long does a HydraFacial take to do?

About 30-45 minutes.

Does a HydraFacial hurt?

No.  It’s much less irritating than traditional microdermabrasion.

Can I put on makeup after a HydraFacial, if I need to go back to work?

Yes, if you wish.

Do I need more than one HydraFacial treatment?

Yes, a series of treatments (4-6) is recommended.  Most people do one HydroFacial treatment every 2 to 4 weeks.

Is HydraFacial the same as microdermabrasion?

No.  Although both treatments help with exfoliation, microdermabrasion is an older method that uses aluminum oxide crystals to abrade the top layers of the skin.  The HydraFacial uses streams of water and various liquid serums to achieve the same results more gently, and with better hydration of the skin.  No crystals are used – so there’s no powder to get on your clothes or in your eyes.
